Tomati25 wins Sunday Million in dramatic style

It was another half-price Sunday Million this weekend, two months after the previous one proved popular. This week was no different, with more than 22,000 players taking part, with Tomati25 coming out best.

He got the better of Duraircwb heads-up, taking the lead into deal negotiations only to lose the lead (after negotiations came to nothing). But he rallied well to secure a first Sunday Million title, and a first prize of more than $228,000.

Jason Kirk has the full report, which you can read at the link below.

Barcelona starts this week

This week the PokerStars Championship reaches Barcelona, typically one of the biggest events on the poker calendar.

As we wrote last week there are a variety of reasons for this, but whatever they are the results are usually quite spectacular, with millions up for grabs, and thousands of players intent on winning it.

The PokerStars Blog begins its coverage from Casino Barcelona this Friday when the Super High Roller kicks off ten days of action. That’ll be followed by the Main Event a week today. You’ll also be able to watch Main Event action on PokerStars.tv, and send us your comments on Twitter.

It should make for some essential viewing, reading, refreshing.

That’s all from the weekend, even if it hasn’t technically finished. If we missed anything email us at blog@pokerstars.com, or tweet us @PokerStarsBlog.
