On today’s Weekend Action Report, we take a look at the biggest wins from the opening day of the Summer Series, the fastest five figure MTT scores possible, and a celebrity appearance on the final table of the HRC Sunday Cooldown, as well as the best highlights from the Sunday majors. Let’s get straight to it.
The Summer Series got underway with its first day of action on Sunday, with a total of 11 events and several million dollars in prizes.
The Kickoff event attracted 9,804 entries for a prize pool of $490k. After a heads-up deal, Brazilian “G1a1u1s1s” took over $43k, with $13,519 coming from bounties.

“andrezz_b” from Russia took down the biggest Omaha tournament of the weekend, $24,594 for first place in Summer Series #07.
Meanwhile, “WhoisICM” took down a huge prize in the special edition Sunday Storm, battling through an almost unfathomable field of 42,933 entries. Even more impressively, they gained entry via satellite for just $3.67, walking away with an incredible first prize of $39,977.
Each of these players took a big leap, from MTT wins worth several hundred dollars to scores well into five figures.

He may be best known for his football skills, but Neymar-Jr is no slacker at the tables either. He’s good friends with pro Andre Akkari, and is always looking to learn and improve his game. Neymar-Jr did make the final table, eventually finishing seventh for $3,663 and leaving a tough field to play it out for the top prizes.
“papan9_p$”, who‘s results include two Sunday Wrap-up wins, came second for a total of $17,698. Two-time TCOOP champion “GeraldoCesar” from Brazil outlasted took first place for a total of $36,147, of which $21k came from bounties.
What’s the fastest way to win thousands of dollars in an MTT? It has to be the hyper-turbo Supersonic tourneys. Thousands of entrants, thousands of dollars for first, all in a few short hours of play.
This week there was a special Summer Series edition of the $22 Mini Sunday Supersonic, boosting the prizes up closer to the levels of the higher stakes events. “Starshype” from Germany finished first after a three-way chop, scoring $17,437.
In the $215 version, “Showstop86”, also from Germany, earned $24,477 in just two 2¼ hours, whilst “Jamie_KK” outlasted fellow UK player “pads1161” in the NLO8 Supersonic, earning $5k.
The $1,050 HRC Sunday Supersonic is serious business, attracting big names to the race. This week’s winner is a bit of a hyper-turbo regular. They’re previous results include several Daily Supersonic wins. Now they can add the Sunday version to their list. “HUANGSHIREN” from China claims first, $31,708 in under two hours.
