WCOOP 2015: villepn wins second COOP and beats Andy McLEOD heads-up to win Razz Championship (Event #54 $1,050 Razz)

September 24, 2015

The final table featured a true legend in Triple COOP winner James “Andy MCLEOD” Obst, a pair of cagey SCOOP champs from Finland (villepn and calvin7v), Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah (who shipped a WCOOP last week), and Adam “Adamyid” Owen (10th on the Leader Board after bagging three final tables at the 2015 WCOOP). When it got down to the final two, Andy MCLEOD was heads-up against Finland’s villepn, but villepn led 3 to 1 in chips. Andy MCLEOD was unable to rally and prevent villepn’s triumphant march into the winner’s circle. It was an epic run for villepn, who was last in chips when the final table began. Not only did villepn win their first WCOOP bracelet and second COOP title, but the Finnish player also earned it by beating one of the premier online players in the history of PokerStars.

2015 WCOOP Event #54 $1,050 Razz Championship attracted 184 runners for this two-day Razz Bonanza. These hardcore Razz enthusiasts created a prize pool worth $184,000, which smashed the $50K Guarantee. The top 24 places paid out with $40,020.00 set aside to the champion.
