Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier came close to winning his third WCOOP bracelet this morning, an accolade that Jonathan “Iftarii” Jaffe managed to achieve yesterday, while serial runner-up Martin Jacobson kept his rhythm going with a second-place $480,000 finish in the $10,300 High Roller (WCOOP-23).

That big money high Roller event had a tough final table which included the likes of Andrey “Kroko-dill” Zaichenko and Sam “Str8$$$Homey” Greenwood, but MauriceSch eventually came out on top for $533,200.

Mercier took a deal four-handed for $229,965.47 after two other players agreed to chip in to give him an extra $8,500, or it would have been ‘game on’. The Miamian fell in third leaving vovanmillion to push on through to take the bracelet and $30,000 left for first.
