Special edition is the first PokerStars celebrity branded game

Following Usain Bolt’s retirement from his spectacular athletics career, the fastest man on the planet has brought his record-breaking speed to the fastest poker game in the world for a special edition of ZOOM poker at PokerStars. The ZOOM Usain Bolt Edition is literally a game changer, it’s the first time PokerStars has had a celebrity branded product with branded tables within the game itself.

Zoom poker is a fast-paced cash game and tournament format where a player’s opponents change every hand, which means less waiting and more poker action. This is because a player is pitted against a pool of players, instead of fixed opponents on one table. Players can fold at any point when facing a bet. They can even click ‘Fast Fold’, which allows players to fold before it’s their turn to act. There will be special challenges and promotions such as freerolls for players to enjoy which reflect Bolt’s historic career and special puzzles, games and missions to complete.

The charismatic star who redefined speed brought his glorious career to an emotional close at the World Athletics Championships in London and had the whole crowd supporting him, despite his untimely and disappointing injury. Bolt, who has been an inspiration to millions of people around the world, has now turned to poker to satisfy his need for speed with the PokerStars ZOOM Usain Bolt Edition, which launched today.

“I’m very excited to bring my special edition of ZOOM to my fans and poker players around the globe,” said Bolt. “It is a non-stop poker game which is fun and competitive. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

PokerStars Director of Marketing David Carrion said: “ZOOM is the world’s fastest poker game and is one of the most popular games as it gives a fast, intense poker experience and that adrenaline rush. Usain Bolt is the ideal fit for this game and having the world’s greatest sprinter on board will bring a whole host of players to the game.”

In addition, Bolt has hit-out at Hollywood comedian Kevin Hart in his latest video for PokerStars social media battle #GameOn, showing-off about his special edition of ZOOM (see below). The pair have been facing-off in a battle of wits played out in a series of videos using the metrics of social media as their scorecards. Keep an eye on PokerStars social media channels to see how Hart responds to Bolt’s ZOOM poker edition.
