Jon ‘apestyles’ Van Fleet wins $34K on debut stream

When one of online poker’s GOATs decides he’s going to fire up a Twitch stream for the very first time, you better believe we’re watching.

Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet: More in the bank

Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet is one of the winningest online poker players in history with $16.6 million won on the virtual felt across a storied career.

As of today, he’s fourth on online poker’s all-time money list behind only Niklas “Lena900” Astedt ($21.25 million), Péter “Belabacsi” Traply ($18.18 million), and Chris “Moorman1” Moorman ($16.76 million), according to PocketFives.

A week ago, Van Fleet announced he was going to be firing up his debut stream while he played some Bounty Builder Series events. First up, he made it all the way to final table bubble in the Thursday Thrill.

But he went all the way in the $530 buy-in event #167, winning $16,144.13 from the main prize pool and $17,898.37 in bounties, for a combined $34,042.50, and the all-important Bounty Builder Series title.

You can watch Van Fleet in action below. The $530 Bounty Builder Series final table begins around the 05:57:42 mark.

You better believe you’ll be watching next time, too.

Clips of the week

That sucks…c’mon!

It’s always coming seven.

Or maybe it’s always coming nine nine NINE!

Just a glimmer of hope on the flop.

Karma.

That could have been a disaster.

He’s going to lose a BIG pot.

Well, I knew you had nothing on the turn…

Nine-four? Well, GG.

Not the left one. Any one but the left one!

One to watch (aside from apestyles):

Andreas “derbegott” Ponath – www.twitch.tv/derbegott

Due to recent law changes regarding online poker in Germany, Andreas “derbegott” Ponath is unable to deposit funds into his bankroll.

So, instead, he’s opting to set a bankroll challenge that will (hopefully) see him run his $5,000 bankroll up to $50,000 and more.

After three days of streaming, he’s already up to $6,508.

Check out “derbegott” on Twitch here.
