Those of you with a keen eye might have noticed that PokerStars was looking into the possibility of adding Romania as a Eureka Poker Tour stop this season. Unfortunately, owing to player taxation issues, this is now out of the question.

While that may be a disappointment, the good people who look after these things at PokerStars HQ (that’s the events team, folks) have added a nice touch to December’s EPT Prague schedule, which doubles this year as the Eureka Poker Tour Grand Final.

As well as all the usual bumper selection of side events, there will now be a Eureka Deepstack Special Event during the final day of the EPT (December 10). We’re yet to see all the details, but we’re told this will be a €300 + €30 buy-in tournament with a juicy-looking €30,000 guarantee. Nice!

There are already plenty of reasons for you to be making arrangements to travel to Prague; now you have another to add to the list. Incidentally, the main event has a €5,300 buy-in, but qualifiers will be running soon so you can bag your seat for much less.

The Eureka Poker Tour has already enjoyed one successful stop in Prague in this, its debut season. Well-attended tournaments followed in Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia. Look out for news coming soon of dates for Season 2.
