The sequel turned out to be another blockbuster.
After setting records with the first Pennsyl-MANIA back in May, the second running of the event on PokerStars PA attracted another huge turnout, resulting in a guarantee-busting prize pool and another big first prize.
Last night the two-day, $200 buy-in no-limit hold’em event completed with “SlotWinna777” ending as champion following a four-way chop. “SlotWinna777” took away $44,641.87 for the victory, one of four players to walk away with more than $30K.
The tournament drew 2,026 entries altogether, including 1,274 players and 752 re-entries. That meant a total prize pool of $376,836, ultimately divided among the top 341 finishers.
That total exceeded the $350,000 guarantee for the event, the largest guarantee of any tournament ever on PokerStars PA.
That prize pool was also the second-largest in the site’s history.
The first Pennsyl-MANIA established a couple of records for the site which first launched in November 2019.
That event came with a $250K guarantee. Its 2,774 total entries was the most for any tournament on PokerStars PA. And the prize pool of $515,964 was also an all-time high.
That broke what was then the previous high mark set during April’s Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker, a.k.a. the PASCOOP. The “High” version of PASCOOP’s Main Event featured a $368,200 prize pool.
