PokerStars weekend review (24-9-12)

September 24, 2012

The 2012 World Championship of Poker (WCOOP) comes to an end today after an incredible 65 events that, once the Main Event has crowned its $1,612,843.75 winner, will have paid out $55,522,590 in prizes. It’s a staggering amount. The WCOOP Player of the Series leader board is all but settled with mikal12345 out in front with 395.

  • 245 players remain in WCOOP-65: $5,200 Main Event with $1,612,843.75 for first
  • Jason Mercier fought back against Daniel Negreanu to win the $10,300 8-game for $253,425 and his second WCOOP bracelet
  • See who won what in all the other weekend tournaments (including the WCOOP 2nd chances)
  • Katchalov looks good to sweep ElkY on some bitter side bets… unless ElkY wins the Main Event (he’s still in, but 90 points behind)
  • PokerStars gets Hercules to help with Full Tilt

Mercier is back to winning ways

The Main Event resumes at 14.30ET. Find it through the PokerStars lobby: Event >> WCOOP >> Main Events.
