PokerStars to welcome poker players to Isle of man for first UKIPT poker festival in corporate hometown

PokerStars today announced an exciting series of events beginning October 30 as part of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) visiting the Isle of Man, bringing hundreds of poker players to the home of its corporate headquarters.

The Main Event of the Isle of Man poker festival will be a £1,100 entry No Limit Hold’em poker tournament that will be held at the Villa Marina. PokerStars is guaranteeing a prize pool of at least £500,000, ensuring it will attract hundreds of visitors from across the British Isles and Europe. These visitors will have an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and learn more about PokerStars during the festival that takes place from Wednesday, October 30 to Monday, November 4.

In addition to the £1,100 Main Event poker tournament, there will be a number of other poker tournaments for players of varying skill levels. These range in buy-in from £110 to a £2,200 High Roller event on November 2.

One unique feature for the UKIPT visit to the Isle of Man is that PokerStars employees will be permitted to enter all of the tournaments, including the Main Event. Of course, they’ll need to pay the same buy-in as every other entrant.

“Being able to play, chat and compete with PokerStars employees at the tables will be an extra benefit as they visit the home of PokerStars,” said Thompson.
