March kicked off with Turbo Series and ends in the run-up to SCOOP. In the middle we had the Sunday Million Anniversary and tons of the usual top-quality action on PokerStars.

Here’s a quiz to test how well you were paying attention through March. Have a stab at the questions. We’ve written about everything included here this month.

It was the magnificent Arlie Shaban, who beat 4,935 entries in the $11 buy-in NLHE 6-Max. He won $7,117.

Although many more have seen the footage since, the original viewing figures were 1.67 million. We took a close look at televised poker viewership and compared it with other sports.

It was 8hrs 22mins, just a little longer than an average day of work. In total, the 134 tournaments of Turbo Series ran for 40,551 minutes, or 675 hours and 51 minutes. We crunched the numbers.

#6. Kenny Rogers' song "The Gambler" is the de facto poker anthem, but why might that be surprising?

Despite the lyrics being packed with poker terms, the word “poker” does not appear in “The Gambler”. We took a look at this song, and others, in an analysis of poker’s relationship with music.
