The 23-year-old Renoard, who works as an asbestos removal technician, has been playing poker since discovering the game in his village’s community youth club during his teenage years. He learned by watching players like ElkY and Davidi Kitai and eventually at age 19 he made the move from play money games to real money.
In the last six months he says he’s begun to take the game more seriously, especially heads-up sit & go’s. His timing couldn’t have been better — after making a deposit he entered the Dare To Dream freeroll, which led him to his Platinum Pass.
“I’ve never played any live events before, just home games,” he said. “Now I’ve subscribed to two poker clubs where live tournaments are organized every month. I plan to play some small buy-in live tournaments to build experience and prepare for the PSPC.”
