With $1.1 million in guaranteed prize money, the first-ever PokerStars New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker (NJSCOOP) will be the richest online series ever held in the region. The first NJSCOOP will take place from May 15-29 featuring 27 events across two stakes (Low and High), meaning a total of 54 tournaments will be on offer.

The 15-day schedule features a wide range of tournaments at a variety of different buy-ins to suit players of all bankrolls. The prestigious two-day NL Hold’em Main Event will feature buy-ins of $50 (Low) and $500 (High) with guaranteed prize pools of $30,000 and $200,000 respectively. Daily online qualifiers to all the events are running now at PokerStarsNJ.com, with satellites starting from just $1.

“The global PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is one of the must-play poker events of the year,” said Chris Moneymaker, a legendary figure in poker and a member of Team PokerStars Pro. “It’s awesome that it’s coming to New Jersey so that players in the region can experience the exciting tournament structures and the thrill that comes with chasing a major tournament title and big prize money. I can’t wait to play in the first NJSCOOP and I plan to stream most of my play live on Twitch. I would love to win a title in its debut year.”

PokerStars NJSCOOP players can also compete for Leader Board prizes and the Player of the Series award, with points awarded on a sliding scale for cashing in events. The most successful and consistent players across both stakes will also be rewarded for their achievements with more than $10,000 in prizes to be given away. The overall leaderboard winner will receive a trophy, a special live event ticket and $2,000 cash. The live event ticket will be for an exciting to-be-announced live event. Other cash prizes are available for players who make the leaderboard.
