What if you could play a poker series where you could win money even if you didn’t reach the bubble… cutting out all that wasted effort if you crash out before the bubble.
And what if it took just a few hours to play to a winner, rather than an all-day marathon session which is great if you win, but not so great if you fall short?
What if that same series offered $25 million guaranteed over two weeks over a 184 tournament schedule… with buy-ins to suit all bankrolls, and big prizes along the way?
It would be a series perfect for building your bankroll as a low-stakes player, or to test yourself in the biggest tournaments online.
If any of that sounds good to you then what you’d be thinking of fits the description exactly of a new series starting this weekend on PokerStars.
Unsurprisingly it’s called Bounty Builder Turbo Series, and it starts this Sunday.
So if you’re interested, read on for details of how and when to play, as well as how you can take advantage of some fantastic giveaways.
First the big details about Bounty Builder Turbo Series…
- 184 tournaments and $25 Million Guaranteed over two weeks
- All events are Progressive Knockouts (PKO)played as Turbos, including 45 Hyper-Turbos
- Low and High Main Events with $1M and $2M GTD
- Special Editions of the Sunday Million, Sunday Storm and Sunday High Roller
- 12 tournaments every day (even more on Sundays)
- Tournaments in Hold’em, Omaha, 8-Game and HORSE
- Buy-ins from $5.50 to $5,200
We’ll get into all these points, but first back to that idea of making money from this series without even reaching the bubble.
It’s all down to the Bounty Builder format.
You’ll find some great articles about how to approach bounty events, and how to do well, but here’s the short version.
Each player has a bounty on them, and you win bounties every time you knock out another player.
Take that to a logical next step, and it means you could win back your buy-in with a particularly good hand. In some cases going deep might mean doubling your prize money after a KO streak.
It’s not guaranteed, obviously. But it makes Bounty Builder events unique: winning doesn’t require you to go on a deep run or spend hours playing only to bust empty handed.
Plus the Turbo element gets it all done in record speed.
That’s how it works. Read on for more of the detail.
The schedule, which you can find below, features 184 tournaments over two weeks, starting this Sunday 23 May 2021.
The series has $25 million guaranteed, with millions to be won over 12 tournaments each day (even more on Sundays).
The Middle Sunday even more so when you’ll notice the two Main Events will be played…
Event 89: $55 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event – Low] $1 Million Guaranteed
Event 90: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event – High] $2 Million Guaranteed
In addition you’ll notice some Special Editions of the Sunday Million, the Sunday Storm, and the Sunday High Roller.
You’ll also see there’s a $22 Mini Sunday Million, and a $5,200 8-Max High Roller with $500K guaranteed each Sunday.
So if you’re a low stakes player there’s as much to be excited about as a Super high roller in one of the flagship tournaments.
That goes for the entire series, as you can read about below.
You can find the schedule of Bounty Builder Turbo Series below, as well as different versions designed to make clear the events you might prefer to play, depending on the type of player you are.
If low stakes are your thing, we’ll list all the events you might be more interested in.
Those start at the $5.50 buy-in level. And while that might sound small, playing those events alone – six in total – gives you a shot at a combined prize pool of more than $200,000. Plus those bounties remember.
There are a further 18 events at the $11 buy-in level, and 37 more at the higher $22 buy-in. But the schedule below has all the details you need to pick and choose the exact events you want to play.
Including the format.
While most Bounty Builder Turbo Series events are played in no-limit hold’em, there are events in various Omaha formats, as well as an 8-Game, HORSE, and a 6+ event.
You’ll even find Win The Button events, short and deep stack tournaments, and more.
First up though is opening day this coming Sunday.
The opening 12 events add up to more than $3.5 million in prize money. That includes the Special Edition Sunday Million.
In the meantime, check the PokerStars Blog over the next two weeks for articles about how to get yourself ready for the series. Plus, strategies to adopt if you’re a new player, or if you’re looking to refresh your existing knowledge.
