UK’S ‘EIZY’ WINS SUNDAY MILLION FOR $109K
The $109 Sunday Million reverted back from a Progressive Knockout format to bring a good old fashioned ‘Freeze-out with re-entries’ yesterday, attracting 10,623 total entries to create a $1,062,300 prize pool. Only the top 1,934 players would make the money.
Ultimately it was the UK’s “Eizy” who came out on top, banking the only six-figure payday of the weekend. He added $109,029 to his bankroll, after defeating Hungary’s “boerni21” heads-up ($79,114) with no deal in place.
“HELLO_TOTTI” TAKES DOWN SUNDAY HR FOR $42K
There was an absolutely stacked final table (as always) in the High Roller Club’s $2,100 Sunday High Roller, which got 88 entries to build a $176,000 prize pool.
The final table line-up included the likes of Mustapha “lasagnaammmm” Kanit (9th – $5,885), Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson (8th – $6,680), two-time SCOOP Main Event winner Gianluca “Tankanza” Speranza (7th – $8,688), Ole “wizowizo” Schemion (6th – $11,300), Andrey “ThePateychuk” Pateychuk (5th – $14,697),and Johannes “Greenstone25” Korsar (4th – $19,116).
Three-handed play saw Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford exit first for $24,862, leaving Russia’s “hello_totti” heads-up against Canada’s “fishbones11” (2nd – $32,337). The former took it down for $42,058, adding the title to an impressive CV which already includes a Sunday Million title and a SCOOP Main Event final table finish.
