It’s the weekend people, and that means more big tourneys on the poker calendar, including the Main Events of the Summer Series. Let’s take a look at what the weekend has to offer:
Summer Series finale with two Main Events

You can find 10 events on Saturday, including 5 PKO tourneys, with buy-ins ranging from $11 to $215. The highest guarantee is the Summer Series #135, a $109 6-Max PKO with a $200k guarantee. Low stakes players should check also check out #137, a $22 PKO with a guarantee of $175k.
Sunday is the grand finale, with 13 events running and buy-ins ranging from $11 to $5,200. Highlights include two Main Events and the High Roller. Don’t miss out on taking a shot in one of these. Here are the details:
- 18:00 – $55 PKO Main Event – Low, $1 Million gtd
- 18:00 – $530 PKO Main Event – High, $1 Million gtd
- 18:30 – $5,200 PKO High Roller – $500k gtd
We’ll bring you the results of these tournaments early next week in the Action Report. If you’re looking for lower buy-ins, there’s three Summer Series events running on Sunday with an $11 buy-in, including the special edition Sunday Storm.

Combine Spin N Gos with the Ice Bucket challenge
By this time next week, you’ll be able to get your hands on a brand new Throwable. If you haven’t got it already, you could take the corresponding challenge this weekend to win the Ice Bucket Throwable.
The challenge is to get the 2x multiplier three times in a row on any Spin N Go game. Click the “Challenges” tab to find it and opt in.
You could combine this with the Spin N Go 10 (or 50). These challenges require you to play 10 (or 50) Spin N Gos, with leaderboards for every buy-in
level. Once you’ve opted in, you’ll receive points according to your multipliers, plus double points when you win the games.
The top players on each leaderboard earn cash prizes. For example, first prize on the $1/$2 Spin N Go 10 leaderboard is $125. First prize for winning the $100 Spin N Go 50 is $2,000.
You’re likely to win your Ice Bucket Throwable quickly enough, but if you don’t that means you’ll have hit some impressive multipliers and have a decent shot at the leaderboard prizes. You could call it a win-win, but whatever you call it there’s definitely extra value in those leaderboards. If you’re playing Spin N Gos, be sure to sign up for the challenges.
BONUS – Complete Spin N Go 10 or Spin N Go 50 at least once to get a ticket to the $10k Spin N Go freeroll. The freeroll takes place on Monday at 22:02 WET.
Play a poker home game
PokerStars recently revamped its Home Game Club to offer changes based on feedback. The biggest of these changes, is that you can now play poker home games on mobile (Android for now, with iOS coming in the next few weeks).
We’ve also added new formats such as Omaha, Showtime and Fusion, PKO and total PKO. Bounties are sure to spice up games between friends, and now more people can join in. Now is the perfect time to setup a home game and arrange a digital get together.
Click on “More” in the PokerStars lobby, then “Home Games” to get started. Follow the instructions on screen to set up or join a game.
High Roller Club ticket drop continues
Last week we mentioned the High Roller Club ticket drop. To bring you up to speed, we’re giving away $62,000 worth of tickets throughout June, so players at a range of buy-ins are in with a chance of working their way up and winning a High Roller.
All you have to do is play certain games, such as Big and Hot tourneys. Tickets are randomly dropped, which means added value for players.
You can easily find these games in the lobby by searching “ticket drop” in the “Tourney” tab.
