EPT11 Prague: The Super High Rollers on why aggressive poker is winning poker

December 10, 2014

There are many poker maxims and phrases that have been trotted out down the years, some are claptrap – never go broke in an unraised pot – for instance, others have withered as the game has changed, think, ‘the fourth bet is always aces,’ we all know it could just as easily be eight high these days.

Get aggressive and you’ll get lots of these

But one that has stood the test of time, no matter how the game has changed, is that aggressive poker is winning poker. That by being aggressive you have two chances to win the pot, having the best hand or getting your opponent to fold. However, there’s no need to just take the PokerStars Blog’s word for it, as the likes of Olivier Busquet, Fedor Holz, Martin Jacobson and Team PokerStars Pro Online’s Ike Haxton all took time out from playing the Super High Roller to tell Laura Corenlius why aggressive poker is the way to go.

Full coverage of the EPT Prague Poker Festival is on the main EPT Prague page. Super High Roller coverage, including blow-by-blow updates in the panel at the top, is on the Super High Roller page. And the Eureka main event is into it’s penultimate day and playing on. That’s on the Eureka Prague page.
