EPT Sochi confirmed for March 2022!

It’s been a while, but it’s time to announce some good news about live poker in Europe. Next March, the European Poker Tour (EPT) will return with another trip to Sochi, Russia, where there will be another brilliant nine-day festival.

Everything will be as you’ve come to expect it, including a huge EPT National event, a Main Event and a High Roller, with plenty of extracurricular events to look forward to as well.

The key dates for your diary are as follows:

March 18-27, 2022
EPT National — RUB 77,000

March 22-27, 2022
EPT Main Event — RUB 175,000
(Approx $2,400/€2,035)

EPT High Roller — RUB 371,000
(Approx $5,094/€4,316)

The venue, as always, is the beautiful Casino Sochi, which has been hosting PokerStars flagship events since a visit under the PokerStars Championship branding in 2017. The EPT has since returned four times, and there have been two EPT Opens held in Sochi.

Most recently, the well-known Russian player Artur Martirosyan, won the EPT Sochi Main Event on home turf in March 2021. Martirosyan, who is known online as “mararthur1”, won more than RUB 24.6 million (approx US$325,000) along with the trophy. At the same festival, Viktor Kudinov won the High Roller and banked RUB 7.4 million ($98,000 approx), after a heads up deal.
