EPT London: ElkY Stardust

October 03, 2009

We could see some flickering in the distance. Were those LEDs on ElkY’s shirt? No, he had just caught the light, or maybe the light had caught him? Either way his sparkly t-shirt was ablaze. Or was that his real chest? It’s a shine that could solve the energy crisis and is testament to the legend of ElkY whereby anything goes. Take this list. Have a look and see if you can pick out which of these points is not true:

  • ElkY won the PCA, a WPT and an EPT High Roller event.
  • ElkY won two WCOOP bracelets this year – both won within days of each other.
  • ElkY once completed the Kessel run in less than eleven parsecs.
  • In fact, that was a trick question, he’s done all three. Now London marks the spot where his next adventure begins, a new quest to add more silverware to his collection, a collection that he has had melted down and made into headphones. That latest jewellery came just two weeks ago when he first won event 38 for $232,730 and then event 43 two days later worth another $263,323, thus setting the internet forums on fire.

Right now the players standing in his way are themselves “quite good,” as one observer reported. Wooka Kim, Robin Keston and Jasper Hougaard surround the Frenchman, beyond his aura that is. We’ll be reporting from the ElkY from throughout the day but he should have this one wrapped up before dinner.
