EPT Deauville: Life is sweet for Abderrahim Ait Abbou

February 07, 2015

The Grasel Sweet EPT Superstack is over! Abderrahim Ait Abbou has defeated Jerone Cailleteau heads-up for the most sugary of titles here in Deauville. Cailleteau moved all in preflop with K♠3♣ for his last four big blinds and Abbou called with 3♠3♦. The board bricked out coming 6♠A♦2♥8♣J♦ and Abbou claimed the title, the sweets and €7,570 in prize money. Cailleteau picked up €5,170 as a consolation prize.

Elsewhere the tournaments are beginning to reach their climax, the €2k Turbo 6-Max is on the bubble with €5k Turbo 6-Max winner Adrian Mateos still involved. Others still in this tournament are Dominik Nitsche and David Vamplew – the latter of these having his ear talked off by the always entertaining Artem Litvinov. The €100 Hyper Turbo is on the bubble and surprisingly Eric Sfez, who made the final of the €10k High Roller is among those remaining – some people don’t mind what the buy-in is!

The €300 mini version of the EPT Main Event with 15-minute level has made the final table with Petr Jelinek, who won the €2k event earlier this week, has made his third final table of the festival as well as his fourth cash. The €1,500 event is also down to its final three players with a winner expected soon for that event too.

Check back in later as the results of the final four events of the EPT Deauville Poker Festival are revealed!
