EPT Deauville: First of the fallers

January 22, 2009

After the quickest possible bubble, lasting exactly one hand, the process of one-by-one eliminations begins, started by Amerigo Santoro who got himself €6,225 for 64th place a few minutes afterward. The same fate was bestowed upon Alessandro Cavalieri, a PokerStars qualifier from Italy, out in 63rd.

It was veteran English pro Surinder Sunar eliminated next, soon to be followed by the last remaining Team PokerStars Pro Isabelle Mercier whose run ended 51 places short of a second Deauville final table.

These are the first and we expect many more in the last hour of play with blinds now set at 2,000-4,000 with a running ante of 500.

A recap:

64th – Amerigo Santoro
63rd – Alessandro Cavalieri
62nd – Surinder Sunar
61st – Isabelle Mercier
