EPT €25K High Roller: Deeb, Rabcov, Bloch and Thorel all out

May 02, 2009

EPTIt’s been a fast-paced 15 minutes so far for day two of the high roller event. Just after the players settled down we lost Jean-Noel Thorel going out holding K♣10♣ having missed on a J♦A♣9♣A♠A♥ board – slightly behind Lev Myrmsky’s quads holding A♦3♦.

Also busted are Shaun Deeb and Kirill Rabcov, Rabcov had raised to 5,000 from early position and Juha Helppi flat-called. Deeb pushed with 8♥8♦ and Rabcov moved in behind with A♣Q♣ but Helppi quickly came in too, given that he was holding A♠A♥ which won out on the 7♣3♠Q♠2♠J♠ board. Andy Bloch has also been eliminated running jacks into kings.

Alexander Kuzmin has doubled up against Eric Haik with A♥K♦ against A♣5♣. Kuzmin was the shortest stack coming back today and pushed from the cutoff while Haik was a non-believer in the big blind. Both players hit two pair, but Kuzmin’s was best and has doubled up to about 45,000.
