This weekend’s Sunday Million was the last before the 14th Anniversary, the Storm gave away thousands of satellite tickets along with its boosted prize pool, and the High Roller Club got as competitive as always. Check out the highlights:
- “blue70mach1” wins last Sunday Million before Anniversary
- Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson and “anteen” pick up big double scores
- “phounderAA” earns over $100k in Bounty Builder
- “g88r1e1”, “Le Droit 2503” and “RUMUKULUS” pick up majors
This weekend’s Sunday Million had a total prize pool of $1,357,900, with everyone on the final table took away at least five figures.
“blue70mach1” from Canada eventually emerged victorious. They came onto the final table with a shortish stack, but quickly took chip lead and gained momentum. blue70mach10 was pushing for a deal throughout, but nobody seemed to want it. All the better when they finished first place for the full amount of $131,418.
Fellow Canadian player and poker coach “Momess” came second for $95,361. At one point, they looked destined to crash out early, but a double up with trips on the river got them back into the game. In third place came tough Brazilian live and online reg “GeraldoCesar”.
Swedish pro “anteen” came fourth for $50,221. This wasn’t the only score for anteen. They also went on to win a major High Roller Club event, covered below.
Seventh place “Cripple86” from the Netherlands satellited into the tournament for just $5.50. They came out with $19,193, a 3,488% multiple on their buy-in.
Next weekend it’s the 14th Anniversary Sunday Million, with a $2.5 million guarantee, and at least $1 million for both first and second places. This will be the biggest online prize pool ever on PokerStars, so by next we’ll be reporting on two new millionaires!
For now, here are the final table results from this weekend’s Sunday Million:

“romulocsar” from Brazil, a familiar face at the low stakes, took their biggest win ever. They finished first in the Sunday Mini Million for $23,944.
The Sunday Storm gave away literally thousands of satellite tickets for the Anniversary Sunday Million this weekend. Every player who didn’t make the money received a ticket, which totaled over 19,000 players who will get an opportunity to qualify. This bonus also resulted in a bigger than usual prize pool, with $235,000 up for grabs.
“g88r1e1” from Brazil finished the Storm in first place. Previous results include multiple first place finishes in low stakes Bounty Builder events, but this was their day to claim their biggest ever win. g88r1e1 took a heads-up split for a touch over $20k, with second place “Arturegrv” earning $16,530 from the chop.
Elsewhere in the weekend’s major poker tournaments, “Bezzer98” from the UK won the Saturday KO for $11,741, plus $8,672 in bounties.
Canadian player “Lefebvre1101” took down the Sunday Warm-up to earn a huge score of $30,453 for first place. They faced stiff competition from 2019 SCOOP winner “com 157”, who finished second for $22,099.
Over in the Hot $82, “Gogsi04” from Germany gained satellite entry for $11. They went on to win the tournament for $11,278, earning over 100x their buy-in.
“Le Droit 2503” added the Sunday Marathon to a string of impressive recent tournament results, earning $14,813 for first place. And this was one heck of a marathon indeed. The tournament lasted nearly 14 hours – that’s a lot of focus, and a much deserved win.
German pro “RUMUKULUS” came first in the Sunday Cooldown. They took $13,226 and a further $10,787 in bounties. “B0nChance” from Austria came second, picking up their biggest win so far, $13,224 and a further $4,524 in bounties.
The battle was on in the Sunday Supersonic, with two seasoned players left to fight it out to the bitter end. WCOOP runner-up “relmat” from Canada came out on top for $25,977. Hyper-turbo specialist “isistar185” from Germany finished second for $18,879.

It was a huge weekend for top ranked pro Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson, who took down a beautiful double victory in the High Roller Club.
Mattsson kicked off in style, winning the HRC Sunday Warm-up for $42,738, besting “Pimmss” from the Netherlands, who has won multiple High Roller Series titles in the past. Pimms came second in the event for $32,471.
Next, Mattsson went on to earn himself a tidy heads-up chop in the $2,100 Sunday HR, adding another $28,192 to their weekend total, technically a second place finish. Fellow Swedish pro “anteen”, mentioned above for their fourth place finish in the Sunday Million, took the higher portion of the split, earning $44,920 for first place.
So, which of these high rolling pros earned the most from their combined scores this weekend? It was a very close call:
“C. Darwin2” final table total: $94,039
“anteen” final table total: $95,141
The HRC Bounty Builder reached a whopping total prize pool of $754,500. “phounderAA” from Poland claimed first place for $49,721, plus an astounding $50,378 in bounties, bringing the total tournament winnings over the $100k mark. Despite multiple WCOOP titles, this was their biggest win so far.
This week’s Sunday Cooldown belonged to Cypriot pro “MITS 304”, a regular crusher at the high stakes and multi-time COOP final tablist. They earned $18,716 for first pace, plus an incredible $28,281 in bounties. Hungarian pro “clapjkspit” came second for $18,716, earning a further $13,171 in knockouts.
“elmerixx” from Finland came first in the HRC Sunday Supersonic, picking up $30,678 in just a couple of intense hours of action. They had to get through Nikolas “Lena900” Astedt, who finished second for $23,350.
Astedt made himself known on several final tables this weekend, though he couldn’t quite repeat the same caliber of results that he achieved last week. He came third in the Warm-up for $11,044 and fifth in the Sunday 500 for $3k, still decent results by anyone’s standards.
