EPT Deauville: High roller Vladimir Troyanovsky tops the €5k turbo, Wigg and Ladouceur settle for final table cashes
Vladimir Troyanovsky is a name that the EPT presenters are going to have to get used to saying. The Russian made a big splash at this year's PCA when he finished second to Vanessa Selbst in the $25,000 High Roller for $792,180 and seventh in the $100,000 Super High Roller...more
EPT Deauville: Matthias Gloppe takes the final turbo, pockets €3,524
Hyper turbos are fun, especially when you win. Matthias Gloppe must have been laughing all the way to the payout desk. Not only did he beat a field of 114 to €3,524 from a €120 outlay but he would have only taken a handful of hours to do so. EPT9...more
EPT Deauville: A quick €52,400 for Jose Quintas as he takes down €2k turbo
Do you recognise Jose Quintas' name? Does it ring any bells? Maybe it strangely reminds you of the smell of suntan and the taste of conch (or more likely beer and rum). They'd be a reason for that: Quintas finished 25th in this year's PCA Main Event for $47,000. This...more

EPT9 Deauville Day 6: A tale of two pocket pairs as Remi Castaignon enjoys the best of times
An enormous chip lead coming into an EPT final table can be both a blessing and a burden. It brings with it great responsibility. Of course it is expected that you will mop up the short stacks to ensure a brief day for players and spectators alike, but it is...more

EPT9 Deauville Day 6: Country-by-country, day-by-day
Whoever from our final four wins EPT9 Deauville this week, there can be little doubt which two countries can rejoice their nation's performances most jubilantly. Our hosts France demonstrated the extremely healthy state of Gallic poker by putting forward almost half our field--and translating quantity into the high quality of...more

EPT9 Deauville High Roller: Vojtech Ruzicka makes good on potential, bests Reilly for title
When six players returned to play down to a winner of the €10,300 High Roller event today, the two biggest stacks were known predominantly for their great aptitude at finishing second. Martin Jacobson had two EPT Main Event runner-up places on his resume (yet no title) while Vojtech Ruzicka's most...more
EPT9 Deauville: Tim Reilly heads-up for the High Roller and gaining respect
Tim Reilly wasn't a known face on the European Poker Tour before the start of EPT Deauville but, after some fine performances on the EPTLive webcast and the small matter of being heads-up in the €10,300 High Roller, we expect to see a lot more of the 30-year-old. Hailing from...more
EPT9 Deauville High Roller: Life on the other side of the tracks
The EPT tournament room in Deauville today was split down the middle with almost perfect symmetry. On the one side were the excitable, unreliable pretenders of the €5,000 Main Event, attempting gradually to fill their final table of eight. But on the other side of the tracks were the privileged...more
