Wildfires, tornadoes, and PokerStars Mobile?

teampokerstarsonlinelogo.PNGTeam PokerStars Online's Adrienne Rowsome is game for just about anything. So, when it came time for WCOOP, she volunteered to be a bit of a marketing guinea pig. She was going to play her WCOOP on the wildly popular PokerStars Mobile app. It was all in good fun, and she started making a bunch of videos showing how the app worked just as well--or better--than the desktop software.

Rowsome's little experiment worked out well. She was traveling all over Canada, playing WCOOP while watching a softball game, and even enduring flight delays with the PokerStars Mobile app at her side. Again, it was all in good fun. It was a way to promote an amazing tournament series with an amazing mobile product.

And then this happened.

That's a massive wildfire that was burning out of control just a couple of kilometers from Rowsome's home. She rushed to fly home, just missing a tornado in Calgary. By the time she reached her house, she literally didn't know if she would be playing WCOOP from her house or an evacuation shelter.

Suddenly, all of that good fun seemed pretty minor.

We can tell you, it ended badly for some people, but Rowsome is safe. In fact, she'll be telling her story on PokerStars Radio later today.

For now, here is her account of the last few days.
