Physical fitness is especially important to poker players because the nature of their job involves a lot of motionless sitting. Incorporating exercise into a daily routine, especially before a long day of tournament poker, is one of the best ways to prepare the body for the day but also to open and prepare the mind. Healthy players are more alert and generally make better decisions in poker.
