PCA 2013: LAPT Player of Year still alive in main event

The Latin American Poker Tour has proven to be a solid poker circuit. Visiting eight countries with 24 tournaments, the LAPT is ready to start Season 6 next March in the lovely city of Viña del Mar, Chile.

During those first five years, the most respected poker tour in South America has introduced a lot of great players to the world. Some of them are going deep here in Day 2 of the PCA Main Event.

Daniel Ospina received Player Of The Year honors during Season 5 and did so in an amazing way. He entered the LAPT Grand Finals in Peru with the ninth place on the leader board. He finished in the money four times at that festival to secure the win. The Colombian also received "Achievement Of The Year" and "6-Handed Player Of The Year" in Season 4.

Angel Guillen is a member of the Team PokerStars Pro and is one of the most recognizable faces in the circuit. He finished second in LAPT Uruguay last season and managed to win the trophy in the High Roller event at LAPT Colombia. With those results, the Mexican finished second in the LAPT Player Of The Year race just a few points behind Ospina.

Ramiro Petrone is from Mar Del Plata, Argentina. Last season he won a side event at LAPT Colombia, beating the field of the No Limit Hold'em Turbo tournament.

At the moment, Petrone is among the leaders with a gigantic stack of 380.000 in chips. Angel Guillen is also doing good, with 250.000 in chips. Daniel Ospina has the smallest stack of them all, with 30.000 in chips.
