New Zealand-based Lee Nelson is proof that players don’t have to travel to Las Vegas to win big money tournaments. He won the World Poker Open for $400,000, before going on to win the prestigious Aussie Millions Main Event in January 2006, beating a field of 417 to walk away with prize money of $949,694. Lee also has a long list of other cashes and final table appearances. In fact, he’s made the final of so many live poker tournaments that he’s been given the nickname ‘Final Table’. He plays online using the screen name ‘LeeNelsonP*’.
