In the city center, the sky looks down over modern high rises. On the city's borders, lush rain forests hold the secrets of the jungle. And at the Veneto Hotel and Casino September 26-30, the Latin American Poker Tour will make Panama the center of the Latin American poker world.
For the first time in its five seasons the LAPT is headed to Panama City. The last week of September will host a $2,500 main event and a festival of poker with events for every bank roll.
The LAPT has been all over the region during the past five seasons. The people of Panama have been clamoring for their own event. Now, it's finally happening.
Don't forget, the LAPT is headed to Medellin, Colombia in two weeks for that country's national poker championship. Stay tuned to the PokerStars Blog for coverage.
In the meantime, if you want to start planning your trip to Panama, you can find all the information at the LAPT Panama tournament page.
See you in Panama!
