IPT: Day 1 in Campione d'Italia

ps_news_thn.jpgThe PokerStars.IT Italian Poker Tour is back for more action. Its latest event kicked off today in the the beautiful Campione d'Italia.

After one full day of play, Day 1a chip leader here at IPT Campione, Italian player Alessandro Minasi sits atop the field with 156,600 chips. He's closely followed by Italian player Domenico Zappelli who is sitting on 150,400.

A field of 152 players from around Europe made their way to the gorgeous Lago Lugano for the PokerStars.it Italian Poker Tour. Nineteen of those qualified online with PokerStars.

A total of 61 players survived Day 1a and return to see the start of Day 2. The average stack is 62,633 chips.

Day 1B will kick off later today with another bumper field including PokerStars Team Pros Dario Minieri, Luca Pagano, Salvatore Bonavena and Pierpaolo Fabretti. Team PokerStars Online's Luca Moschitta will be there for the action, as well.
