EPT9 London Day 6: That day has come

There comes a time during each EPT main event where this customary opening post is rendered somewhat obsolete. That time is now.

All that has changed since we were last with you -- ie, last night's wrap -- is that the sense of anticipation has ratcheted up a notch and a 6am fire alarm in the Radisson Blu has robbed a lot of players and reporters from a few hours shut eye.

One suspects the players will be fine, but who knows how it mgiht effact teh reprotesr.

Play begins at noon at the EPT9 London final table, which is one of the best we have ever seen. The following players are sitting beside the following stacks:

Seat 1 - Mantas Visockis, Lithuania, 1,510,000
Seat 2 - Olof Haglund, Sweden, 2,755,000
Seat 3 - Ruben Visser, Netherlands, 3,640,000
Seat 4 - Steve O'Dwyer, United States, 5,270,000
Seat 5 - Chris Moorman, United Kingdom, 1,075,000
Seat 6 - Theo Jorgensen, Denmark, 1,550,000
Seat 7 - Tamer Kamel, United Kingdom, 960,000
Seat 8 - Christopher Frank, Germany, 2,570,000

They are playing for the following prizes:

1st - £700,000
2nd - £455,000
3rd - £245,000
4th - £183,000
5th - £146,000
6th - £112,000
7th - £79,950
8th - £57,000

None of these players will pretend that the best part of sixty grand means nothing to them, but at the same time, going out in eighth would represent a disappointment to them all. They surely all went to bed last night dreaming of a title, and the next several hours will determine exactly who will realise that dream.

The High Roller is also playing to a winner today, and you can follow that over at the High Roller page. We'll dip in and out of that as it progresses.

But this is perhaps the first time in recent years when the main event final table actually features a more star-studded line up than the High Roller event, so I suggest you start off with our Main Event page, then tune in to EPT Live as well.
