EPT Monte Carlo: No surrender

EPT

After two levels it hasn't been the best of starts for Gavin Griffin. The Team PokerStars Pro, who famously won the EPT Grand final in season three, is down to 13,500. Part of that problem might be online poker pacesetter Lex Veldhuis, two seats along.

The two of them scrapped in a pot with Italian Massimo Di Cicco, whose name is conveniently stamped on the back of his shirt. Di Cicco called some Veldhuis betting, taking over on the river card with Griffin having folded, only for the Dutchman to follow suit, sending the pot to the Italian.

Griffin was soon back involved. He's hardly the type to nurse a wounded stack, instead taking the offensive in later hands, adding a few vital thousands to the cause as the blinds go up.
