EPT Copenhagen: Fallers

Players have now started heading out of the door: the French player Stephane Bazin couldn't get his aces to hold up all in pre-flop against Martin Wendt's pocket jacks. The jacks four-flushed Bazin out of the tournament. There's also an empty chair beside Andrew Chen and about 18,000 chips in front of him. The two facts are possible related.

It's not exactly been plain sailing for either Ivan Demidov or Johnny Lodden. Jacks accounted for about 7,000 of Lodden's stack: his opponent got it all in on a 10-high flop against Lodden's knaves. The unknown opponent's ace-king rivered a king.

Demidov, meanwhile, tried a speculative bet of close to 3,000 into a pot of the same size, looking at 7♥-9♣-6♣-4♥. Andrea Benelli, his only opponent, moved all in and Demidov folded, leaving himself about 3,500.

In an unrelated matter, Gus Hansen is yet to arrive.
