As is standard now in the last few minutes of play, the all-ins began, resulting in either a double up or a head start at the taxi rank. A notable beneficiary of this tactic was Andrea Benelli, boosting his stack even further when he called an all in with a pair of jacks which stood fast. Benelli rests tonight after bagging up in excess of 110,000 and a claim to the overall chip lead when players both first day flights unite tomorrow.
Team PokerStars Pro Isabelle Mercier will be one of five of the team returning on day two, along with Alex Kravchenko who navigated safe passage through today's eight levels. Mercier's stack would have been a tad richer were it not for a late hand that saw her opponent hit the all-in button after Mercier raised to end the hand right there.
