The World Series may well be close to its zenith but poker waits for no man (nor tournament for that matter). Twenty-seven players remain in the big one with Main Event Passport winner Anton Morgenstern leading the charge to its $8,359,531 first-place payout. We'd all like to be it that position, but there's plenty of other players who spent this weekend filling their pockets. Just take a look at the big weekend final table results here.
It was a good day, no great day, for Faranius. Not only did the Lithuanian win the Sunday Million for $150,000 after a three-way chop, but a runner-up spot in a $22 rebuy netted a further $7,513. Check the Sunday Million report here.
Other players to do well include Marty 'TheLipoFund' Mathis ($21,681.18 for 1st in $162 Sunday 6-Max), SCOOP leaderboard champ Eric 'AceQuad' Brix ($2,000 for 1st in $215 Weekly NLSD 2-7) and Jonathan 'ResumeIgnore' Bannerman, who was the player lifting the largest wedge of cheese in the Sunday Warm-Up after scoring impressive back-to-back Sunday Warm-Up final tables. Bannerman won $86,656.90 this week to add to the $22,141.50 he collected seven days earlier, which you can read about here. That's an impressive run of form. Well played, sir.
