PokerStars weekend review (4-8-12)

ps_news_thn.jpgFor many, many folks of varying cultures, this was a holiday weekend. Obviously, no one told the PokerStars community. Yesterday's Sunday majors were rocking and rolling and gave barely a hint of the celebrations going on around the world.

More than 8,200 people showed up for this weekend's Sunday Million, a big amount for any week, let alone a holiday weekend. That meant a prize pool worth $1,645,000. Not a bad little present from the Easter Bunny, huh?

Despite the holiday weekend, we had our eyes on the big events happening throughout the weekend. Here are some quick links to the bigger stories from the past couple of days.

  • Sunday Warm-Up: Five-way deal makes victory easier for Palmero92
  • Scarey Pelt felts the rest, wins April 8 Women's Sunday
  • Guesty001 stages stellar comeback to win April 8 Sunday Million title

Of course, those weren't the only stories this weekend. There were dozens of major events on PokerStars over that 48-hour period. For a complete look at the results from the weekend, see that 4-8-12 PokerStars Sunday majors results list.

Good luck to everyone in the coming week. And don't forget to get your seat for the Sunday Storm first anniversary special!
