The Russians. They're at it again. They're winning all the money on PokerStars. It was the story last weekend, and it was the lead again this Sunday.
Led by Team PokerStars Pro Max Lykov (who won the Sunday 500 for more than $80,000), the Russians once again cleaned up this weekend.
Normally I spend this time on Monday talking only about the Sunday Warm-Up (won by a Turk this week) and the Sunday Million, but after seeing the list of winners from this weekend's majors, I couldn't help but notice something.
Of the 37 majors we tracked this weekend, Russians won more than 25% of them. If you don't feel like going through the whole list, here's just a quick rundown:
Every one of those players is from Russia.
That all happened this weekend in the hours before FairLaw took down the Sunday Million for $186,000.
And yes, he's Russian.
There must be something in the water over in Russia. Whatever it is, if we can find a way to export it, we'll be billionaires.
