Every day, the number of dead mounts. Thousands upon thousands dead. Hundreds of thousands of people without homes, food, or access to proper medical care. The Haiti earthquake is a disaster that is impossible for almost all of us to understand.
As we mentioned last week, PokerStars has set up a relief fund to help aid the suffering in Haiti (click the link for full details). PokerStars will be matching every dollar donated by its players and giving all the money to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
As happened in disasters past, PokerStars players have stepped up in a big way. As of this hour, the people who play at PokerStars tables have donated $474,638, every penny of which will be matched by PokerStars.
You can still donate through your PokerStars account. PokerStars will be accepting donations until January 31. Here's how you can contribute to the appeal.
