Well, so long Gus. The book closes on Gus Hansen's EPT Copenhagen thanks to Annette Obrestad, who yesterday was tipped by one Norwegian bookmaker to outlast Hansen and World Champion Peter Eastgate. She wielded the dagger over Hansen herself and a table along Eastgate is close to the felt.
She limped form the small blind only for Hansen to make it 1,300 pre-flop. Obrestad then insta-shoved, plonking a stack of red chips down in a style that in poker's unspoken language is the equivalent of an exclamation point.

Hansen showed pocket tens to the Norwegian's K♠-Q♣ and was on the ropes when a king hit the flop. He was over the ropes and on the rail when he failed to find another ten. Who will he find on the rail? Steven Chidwick...
The PokerStars uber-qualifier succumbed in a hand against former EPT Dortmund champion Andreas Hoivold who had limped from the small blind with J-T. Chidwick raised from the big blind which Hoivold called for a 9-8-5 flop. Hoivold then check raised all-in, getting the call - Chidwick showing pocket queens. But the river delivered the seven the Norwegian needed for a straight and it was back to Dortmund qualifiers for the Englishman.
