EPT Copenhagen: The good, the bad, the double ups

|

Into the last level of play. Fredrik Hostrup is up to 35k, so too regular PokerStars qualifier Joris Jaspers with 38k. Another Dane Theo Jorgensen is above average on 31k whilst Peter Hedlund grapples with a stack of 14k.

Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, who sought to dodge anything Andy Black threw at him earlier today (Black has since been eliminated), is now enjoying fair weather all these hours later in contrast to the thick fog outside, with over 40k with blinds at 200/400.

Others today have been less fortunate. Denmark’s Rehne Pedersen, a former WPT winner back in 2005 is out, so too Team PokerStars Pros Katja Thater and Tom McEvoy. Marc Goodwin and Steve Jelinek are also gone as well as Tony G, William Thorson, Rob Hollink and Patrick Bueno.

It’s not over yet though but Dustin Mele just gave his hopes a vital boost, doubling up through Omar Adel. He was close to elimination before finding A-J which ultimately finished ahead of Adel’s A-6. The role of tourist will have to wait a little longer.

But there are a few stacks pulling out ahead of the field, belonging to internet demon Ilari Sahamies, Nedin Musa and Austrian Markus Golser. Tournament director Thomas Kremser has grabbed the mike – seven hands left today before players start bagging up.
